This may sound like advice that you all know but it is good to remember its wisdom
if you make a mistake just keep going dont stop
dont hesitate dont pause
make adjustments but keep going.
I did a gig today my debut on guitar.
it was a fingerstyle funk piece
the choir was singing a song based on just my imagination
I was suppose to be laying the bass and chords
all was going well but whenever I hit a chord it was either way to loud or way to low (inaudible)
or distorted like I could see i was holding what looked like the right strings and frets
but what I was hearing was something else altogether
later on I realized i had my PRS in the bridge pup position
and my amp was set to grunge.
and I needed a clean setting.
plus the drive was up kind of high
always check the drive.
in any event as I am playing it sounded horrible
I wanted to chuck my gutiar into the congregation and run away,
but I guess it was just my imagination
because after church all these young guys come running up asking how did you do that with your guitar
and my girlfriend said they were taping me.
during my performance.
so I guess they heard something good.
All I am saying is
when the going gets rough just keep playing
the music must go on.
maybe your wrong chord will sound like some stroke of creativity.
to someone else.
