This young guitar player has been making quite a name for himself all along the East Coast. JPBlues has represented NY in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis twice, and has played with such names as, Yonrico Scott, Todd Smallie, Kofi Burbridge(Derek Trucks Band), Charlie Wooten, Caroline Aiken, Phil Grandee (Joe Cocker), Frank Latorre(Winger), Buddy Cage (New Riders), Michael Falzarano(Hot Tuna), etc. At the age of 13 he opend for Derek Trucks at the Dogwood Festival in Georgia. Through his young career he has also opened for such name acts as Joe Bonamassa, Robin Ford, Johnny Winter, Gatemouth Brown, to name a few. Sounds good, (I found the audio page on the website), I'll give the kid an AYE.
Okay - I've listened to six of the songs so far and they are all great. Awesome in fact. And I signed into the Ernie Ball thing to vote for the Band. Total commitment - that's what I'm talking about.

    Red face

JP BLUES is the hottest young blues guitar player out there!!! I was fortunate to see and hear him play at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis 2010 withFrank Lattore and The King Bees they were awesome. He recently played at the Riverhead Blues Fest with the JP Blues Band he blew the crowd away.JP will never disappoint his audience he is a professional through and through. JP is also a mature young gentleman with respect for all and is totally drug free.
My vote is %100 for JP BLUES !!

The dude has a good fan base, JPblues ought to do his own little 'JPBlues Lick' video where he shows one of his signature licks and how to play it, posts it on youtube and drop the link down here. You'll never get better fans than the ones trying to learn how to play.

I don't think you can go wrong with a bit of that approach at all. With all the 'new media' available out there for artists to get themselves in front of potential fans it's hard to find artists of any level of popularity who aren't out there. Larry Carlton has done a few Instructional Courses which have been tremendously successful, I've seen the Great George Benson on another site doing instructional stuff - and then there are the artists under that level who are also making themselves seen and known to fans on YouTube and on their own websites and elsewhere. All sorts of different strategies that depend on the temperament and attitude of the artists and style of the artist and the people around him. Your guy has tremendous energy and a good loyal crowd around him that's why I was curious about whether he would be doing anything like that. It seems like something to consider. Seems like it would be pretty cool too.

    Default Aye!

I went to check out his website and the streaming audio he has there ended up inadvertently becoming my soundtrack for an hour while I work.

I am very impressed - he's got soul and he seems quite versatile.
