"You know, once you've had that guitar up so loud on the stage, where you can lean back and volume will stop you from falling backward, that's a hard drug to kick." David Gilmour

I remember as a little kid hanging out with my dad we went to a little diner to get a burger. The jukebox started playing Green Onions by Booker T. & the M.G.'s, I was mesmerized by that groove. Then a few years later I started playing bass and Duck Dunn was first musician I knew by name and I listened over and over to all those old Stax/Volt records. My musical tastes have gone many directions over the years, but Duck Dunn's grooves are still sweet music to my soul.
Thanks Duck!!!
Steve B.

oh what a bad news!!! RIP master.
Duck was one of the musician's that shaped soul and popular music as we know it not, flash but played the right notes in the right places, a bench mark player there aren't many. Thanks for the grooves Mr Dunn, respect.

Great musician who will be missed. I discovered him through Elvis many years ago. I recently saw the documentary on Stax records... very sad.
