Phil Magallanes, a new guy comes into town a year or so ago and came to my jam, he was a very strong bassist. Recently I needed a sub bassist and called Phil, he was nothing less than amazing! It was an honor having him on my stage. Recently a friend asked me if I had ever heard Phil play piano and gave me a link to hear him.. OMG!!!!!!

Red, is the Sunday night blues jam still running at Gulfport-on-the-Rocks, and still on schedule in July?

If so, I'll be wanting to stop in again (spectator only). (Gotta figure out my escape route while it's still light out, so the duplicitous street names don't have me driving in circles around St. Pete for 2 hours trying to find a street that has a different name coming in than it does on the way out 19th = 33rd, or something like that?).

Yes, the jam is still happening!
As for the streets, it's pretty easy! You got confused because US 19 is also called 34th street in Saint Pete. U.S. Route 19 is a north–south U.S. Highway. Despite encroaching Interstate Highways, the route has remained a long-haul route, connecting the Gulf of Mexico with Lake Erie.

Most of the roads have numeric names, streets run north to south and are in order from east to west, avenues run east to west and are also in order....but.... central ave is the "center point" the next ave north is 1st ave north and if you went south the first ave world be 1st ave South, then if north 2nd ave n and if south 2nd ave s and so on and so on. Places, Avenues and Terraces run east to west almost all others run north to south except blvds, circles etc. Once you understand the grid it's easy to find your way around!

I found Gulf-to-Bay Rd. down there. If I end up on Gulf-to-Lake I will stop for directions!
