I do recall that feeling of unbounded excitement when I got my first guitar and then more importantly for me - my first real contact with people who played guitar and who could help me. It wasn't this forum and my first brush with a forum moderator almost turned me off forums which would have been a shame since they can be a really great place to drink in some knowledge. Fortunately here there is no shortage of folks willing and able to help you out.

Besides being able to really sample any course in the catalog you can help yourself focus in by taking a look at the Learning Paths - http://truefire.com/learning-paths/ - this will help direct you to the courses that might interest you. Here on the forum many of the courses have been discussed and blogged and besides you can shoot posts out for specific advice. Welcome to the forum and glad you found us here.
