In my opinion one of the most under rated rock guitarists/musicians of all time.
A Can Rock (Canadian) legend, he was my 1st guitar hero. Many years later I still appreciate the music created by him with the band he fronted -- "Max Webster."
They were zany and interesting. A unique blend of prog rock with pop and Allan Holdsworth sensibilities. Plus deep and profound lyrics along with cool keyboards.
A great 70's band. I actually preferred them to Rush while growing up here in Toronto.
Kim Mitchell now hosts a radio show on Q 107 -- the big FM Rock station in Toronto.
Here are some rare clips of Max Webster...
This one from Top of the Pops 1977. Check out the solo just after the 2 minute mark.

This is live-- probably a hockey arena in Ontario somewhere.

This is a clip of Kim interviewing his peer Geddy Lee on Q 107.

He also does some free guitar lessons on Q 107.
Thanks for checking out this very gifted Canadian rock guitarist.
