Hands down: when it comes to modern jazz, this is the GUY. Just ask all the heavies--Jimmy Bruno, Pat Martino, et al--and they'll tell you the same. Every line that comes from Vic's fingers are money. His chord melody arrangements are to die for and his harmonic leanings are way ahead of our time.
