Ronnie Earl didn’t pick up and take the guitar seriously until 1973 when he was in college. It was after attending a Muddy Waters concert in Boston, that he began practicing, listening and learning with a passion that kept him up all night, playing along with the records of his favorite blues guitar players. He went on to play all around the world, forming his own band called The Broadcasters, and following an itinerary that was too exhausting to keep up with and remain healthy. He came home to New England, where he is now healthy and continues to play a few times a month.

He has served as an Associate Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music, taught for five years at the National Guitar summer workshop in Connecticut, and has given private lessons.

AYE!!!

Ronnie is a fantastic guitarist who plays from his heart and spirit. When he plays, he's leading worship and his "sermon" is about the love that comes from his Higher Power. Truly a spiritually powerful experience attending his concerts.

Ronnie was another on my list before we went to the nomination process. Aye, Aye, Aye . Ronnie can make his strat talk. Possibly my favorite, modern Chicago style bluesman. He pours his heart and soul out through his music.

A very spiritual cat. I heard really good things about him as a person from a fan he befriended. Glad to hear his health is better.
