Simon Hoirup started playing guitar at the age of 7, His Dad, a professional piano man playing New Orleans Jazz taught him his first blues chords. Simon Had his own band from age 10-18 called The Wild Horses. He recorded his first rock album in 1977, In fact it was the first rock album ever released by minors in Denmark.

For me Simon has been the most refreshing and enjoyable guitarist I've heard in years. I hear influences from David Gilmour, Mark Knofler, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford. His playing is smooth and consummate, his style goes from smooth jazz to blues.
