Jeff Scheetz

Jeff is the Director of Education at TrueFire. He has released 8 CDs of original music and 9 video courses for TrueFire. He has toured the US, Europe and Mexico, sharing the stage with the likes of the Scorpions, .38 Special, ELO, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and many more. He's performed over 300 guitar clinics worldwide for Yamaha guitars and been featured in Guitar, Guitar Player, Guitar School, and Guitar World magazines, as well as numerous magazines in Japan and Europe. His name has been on the Ernie Ball Super Slinky string package.

He was listed in the "100 Gifted Guitarists you Should Know." His music can be heard everywhere from Toyota and Chevrolet commercials, to the "All My Children" soap opera! If he doesn't have a guitar in his hands, he probably has a Frisbee - he travels and competes with his two World Champion Frisbee dogs, Towser and Killian.

Just started my guitar journey

I've only just started his beginner course and it just clicked with me. I was using JustinGuitar but for some reason, it didn't feel 'right'. I StellarGuitar I took one look at the contents and got my refund. With Jeffs course i was hooked right away and it wasn't a chore to pick up the guitar and practice. His instructions are concise and to the point and unlike some tutors he doesn't talk too much nor does he over complicate things. I like his style and I definitely will not be one the 90% who quit within a year. Thanks Jeff

Uncommon Common Sense

The idea of learn the neck from octaves is brilliant. Thanks for this. It might just set me down the road to thinking notes instead of shape. Long overdue. Thanks

Street Theory For Guitarists

Very informative and practical course. Great for beginners, intermediate and professional players. Jeff break music theory and fretboard knowledge in bite sized, easy to understand ways. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Woohoo!

In my seventies and finally learning guitar with the Beginners Course #1 and Jeff Sheetz. It's wonderful to actually be learning and progressing. Jeff makes it easy and fun and 'playing with the band' is a blast; I can't keep from moving around as I play! Ha ha! Great teacher and a lot of fun with clear and easy instruction. I never would have imagined that playing guitar could be this easy and that I could progress this quickly... now if I can only find a cure for my sore fingers so I can play more often!!!

Amazing Teacher, Solved my fear of theory

Jeff gave me a new perspective on music theory. He helped me a lot and His music theory course was totally worth it. I was roaming all over the internet before but nothing helped and then I found Jeff who made it very easy and yet took the topic very deep.
