My New Go To Teacher

My wife passed away from cancer just before Christmas and throughout last year I had to sell all my guitar equipment to pay for tests, prescriptions, transport and a ton of other sundry items required to help care for her. I'm 64 and just getting back into guitar again (late beginner now really) and music is the one thing that is helping through my grief. I have just managed to save up enough to get a used Headrush Core to go with the PRS DGT SE that my sister bought me to help start to replace the equipment I had to sell. I have a couple of months of streaming lessons left, so I am focusing on Chris' Guitar Gym Courses. They are giving me all the individual techniques I want to work on in a great format. I love Chris' style of teaching and hopefully one day I'll be able to afford the private lesson subscription to really start to make progress. At the moment I'm not advanced enough for Chris to take me on, but I'm working towards the level required. Thanks Chris for making me look forward to getting up each day now.

Awesome

I discovered Chris thru the January 2025 Bootcamp. His class was great and I noticed that he was the only instructor to take the time to give feedback to everyone who posted a homework video. I then started following his Gym Guitar series and the rest is history. He’s right there doing all the practices. Very clear and motivating. Its all in the title of the review. Awesome guitarist and instructor.

Excellent

I have done many of Chris’s courses and taken private lessons from him. His communication and knowledge are incredible and he really explains things in a way that’s easy to follow. The play along moving through different tempos really helps make sure you get things under your fingers correctly. I would highly recommend any of his courses! It’s well worth the time!

My guitar heros

This guy is a superb teacher of the guitar. He explains everything clearly and concisely , gets you motivated to become a better player and has the patience to go slowly so you can better understand his viewpoints. I am forever grateful to both Truefire and Mr. Buono for what I have learned from them. Yea, yea, yea.
