I am trying and trying to get this, and as a pseudo-beginner I have been enjoyably struggling. As this video clip gets toward the end it "cuts out". What up with that, yah think?

Certainly one of my favorites: Love the motion in Lou Rawls "Live" recording. So of course I copted it. I love singing it in that style. I keep getting request for this tune but most folks are expecting something else. Maybe it the Allmans, T-Bone or Bobby(another favorite- saw Bobby do it lived with BB King 1969). A number of the guys I play with have that "I've heard/played it 3 maybe 4million times, and would rather not do it again. Unless of course the requests is written on a the back of a $50 dollar bill. Which has not happened again since a request for the U.S. NAVY hymn. crica 1987

I learned the bobby blue bland version around 1967, most players I ever played with back in the day did it that way, however lots of folks like the 3 chords. Love the augmented chord in the intro, always get a look when I throw it in....

David that was a wonderful lesson!
Loved the history as well. I don't know which version I like the best. Myself I have always played the Allman Brothers version. If you do any "open mic" night type jams that seems to be the definitive version to have under your belt.. I have seen Buddy Guy 4x and I almost didn't recognize him in that clip. He is so young but damn he could play....still can. He had to be the absolute essence of cool back then. I loved the other two versions as well. Excellent!!!!

I love, and have played all versions since the 70s. A song you can play at any jam, everyone knows it, and it's fun to play.
