This lesson helps the beginning guitarist take his/her first steps toward rock lead guitar! The lesson focuses on three forms of the Minor Pentatonic Scale, which can be famously heard on recordings such as “Black Magic Woman” by Carlos Santana and the awesome solo to “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd.
While many beginning improv lessons leave the student “trapped in a box,” this one shows how to smoothly work up the neck from the 3rd to the 12th fret! You’ll also learn the legendary “Albert King Box,” the G Form of the Minor Pentatonic Scale and the theory behind it. Just in case you prefer learning with TAB, Standard Notation, or Neck Diagrams, they are all included along with the inspiring “Pentatonic Poetry” backing track! Enjoy!
