A fast shuffle is usually a happy shuffle, keep your thoughts happy while soloing. Try to create a melodic flow without confusion. Let each note have meaning and flow to the next note, phrase segments work well in a fast shuffle. Blend the different components taught in Blues Expose to keep your solos colorful so they aren’t bland. There’s not a lot of rocket science in the blues so choosing your notes carefully is critical. Like a great chef’s blending of spices, your choice of notes, bends and vibratos are your spices and that is what will make you stand out in a crowd. Johnny Winter, Robben Ford and Clarence Gatemouth Brown are great examples of great uses of guitar spices. Get more videos, notation and tab for this guitar lesson on TrueFire TV .
