This technique is highly effective for dynamics within a song. To strum from a full strum to a palm muting strum creates a slightly muted sound so that it opens up space for singing or another instrument.
I’ll show you how to use this on 3 easy chords with a full palm mute, and then the chords with a bass note mute followed by a full strum. It’s almost like a having a volume knob on your right hand.
